A broken lift, a leaking pipe, a light out in the car park. The service request is the smallest unit of community management — and the one most likely to erode goodwill when it’s handled badly.

The old way

A phone call, a note on a pad, a promise to “look into it.” No timestamp, no owner, no visibility. The resident chases; the manager forgets; frustration compounds.

The connected way

The resident logs the request in seconds, with a photo. It’s routed to the right person automatically. Both sides see the same status update at every step. When it’s done, it’s marked closed — with a record that survives staff changes.

Why it matters

Speed matters, but visibility matters more. Residents will wait patiently for a fix they can see progressing. What they won’t tolerate is silence. Structuring requests as shared, trackable items is the difference between a community that feels cared for and one that feels ignored.
